Developer: Wolf and Bugsy

Storyline:In the dense Undercity, There is little room to maneuver, and sunlight barely touches the landscape. Each and every space is letted as a living area to house people, to the point where rooftops are apartments, stores, and restaurants often. In the Undercity, you're always on the roof of something.

Description: when picking up the laundry turns into an alternate route home, which leads to the discovery of a key Kshatriya artifact, a good day can quickly turn bad. Play as a faceless civilian thrust into a world of trouble for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

In the undercity, this is considered a large, 2 person apartment. it's 16x16 feet.

I know that screenshot looks kinda mediocre but I have seen some footage of gameplay and I am pretty sure that bugsy is developing one of the most massive FPSC things ever here.

I was most impressed with a video he showed me yesterday and I am not entirely sure why he didnt post it here.

it's not done yet, that's why. it also spoils a whole level. the screenshot actually evolved into the first room in that video.

well since this thread has seen very little posts, i suppose i'll just share this secret pre-alpha video so that i can generate some much needed hype. I'd love some comments on it guys.

Damn that looks awesome, the scale, the atmosphere and the animations, you nailed it. My suggestion would be to make those areas a bit more claustrophobic(Saves memory and makes a lot of sense for the poverty kind of settings you're aiming for) and add a lot more things you only see in poverty areas like graffiti, cracks on walls, cracks on floors, garbage, broken things. Just my 2 cents.

It's great! I think I've said what I think about it on Facebook already, but again; It's totally awesome. The attention to detail is astonishing and the level itself is huge (for what I see in FSPC usually) and it's just all around visually impressive.

thanks guys!
@metal devil- glad you would sit through it again
@da2020- I'm really getting sick of so much hyperclaustrophobia in fpsc games. the memorycap isn't reached yet, and if i have room i'll add more minute details like graffiti and stuff, but as it is i think it's a nice level of detail

Nice work Bugsy.

You do have a nice level of detail going on but it's the floors that catch the eye, you draw attention to them with litter strewn around and pools of water etc. The walls have a lot of staining and water damage but the floors are way to clean and new looking where they would be worn, cracked and stained, this just needs some grunge and dirt texture work to fix things. Particularly where the floors and walls meet.

I don't trip over...I do random gravity checks.

yeah i'll probably be adding something like that to the tile texture for the interiors but i'm really not trying to make this too grungy or nasty looking because i'd rather it be at least slightly discernable from every other FPSC game, and i like the blue lights to fall on somewhat empty clear surfaces to create a desolate sense of emptiness in an otherwise crowded level. sort of like a "there should be more people around but it's beyond curfew" feeling. I also feel like some less dirty surfaces makes the level look more "sci-fi"

also, thank you guys for the comments! please if you keep them coming i'll love it. i'm going to be home tomorrow and will be working on this game for the rest of the summer until i go off to college :/ from there we'll see how much time i have.

I am getting a fast paced shooter vibe from the screenies. Looks great!

Also, how much do you charge for house cleaning?

Still blown away after the first time you showed it to me. I really do like your work. It looks so nice that I can't really gripe about anything. Your game- your choices. I know I could muster up some nice scenes too but I don't have as big of a drive as you. Keep at it and release this puppy!

Working on the gun anims for this game, but I need a rigger capable of working in 3ds max for the arms, which need to be re-done. here's the MP5 WIP. this gun may not show up in this episode but it'll definitely be in the next few, if it's not in this one.

Its from the brief period of time I had girls and mostly lesbians as reflection and specular maps for everything.

Bugsy wanted it to remain there as an easteregg.

I confirm this statement. Looks like some of the best design done in FPSC. Really liking this. The detail, the scale, everything. I like how this is populated, there's even people around. Love every pixel of it.

Nice change in warmth of colors. You seem to go from blue to orange in a well manner. This really good because it mixes things up and keeps it from creating disinterest.

It already looks better than Deus Ex: Invisible War. Not as "professional" but it definately has more personality and atmosphere!

Keep it up! I'm looking forward to the trailer aswell.

Shameful copypasting time:

Oh my... oh my... That's just... oh my... that's just great. It's great. A chase? I'm IN! I just don't have the words to describe what I'm feeling inside me right now. Except you make me feel ashamed for anything I've ever created or will create.
