I've got an old Huawei Ideos u8150, it's stock OS is Froyo (2.2).
I've rooted and flashed it successfully following this guide (upgrading to 2.3), then followed this guide and upgraded it to 4.04 (Cyanogen with Ice cream Sandwich).
in the phone settings, it says it's 4.04, but it's apparently incompatible with any AppGameKit apps.
I created a new Google Account in case there were some legacy issues from when it was still 2.2, but it still says it's incompatible.
is this an issues with AGK/Cyanogen, or does Google just assume that because it's an Ideos, it can't run the apps?
is there any way of fixing this?

edit: talking about installing from Google Play that is, installing from an APK doesn't work either though, it installs it, but when I run the app, it opens and crashes immediately.

I have HTC Desire with Cyanogenmod 7, works just fine. I also have ZTE Blade with some custom rom and it works too.

Maybe there is something wrong with your CM installation, Custom roms are just pain and that's why I haven't done it to my everyday-in-use phone.

Old Google account should work on all versions as far as I know.

Sounds like the device is still being recognized as 2.2
I think AppGameKit won't run because of the minimum target.
See if you can find other apps that require 2.3-4.0
Maybe something didn't take from cyanogen

I'll try a few other ROM's and see if I can get it to work

If you can hook it up to Eclipse and view the LogCat output it might reveal what is wrong
