2D All the way! / probably simple question

I was trying to figure out a way to take an array of numbers and pick out the biggest or smallest. Anyone have a function for something like this? I know it's probably simple, but am just waaay too tired right now to think about numbers

. Any help greatly appreciated. The question is for the AI I'm improving so the computer picks out the closest ball and goes for that one instead of a completely random one which could end up being the stupid one.

oops, nevermind, i decided to start thinking numbers and figured it out right away! It looks like this:

+ Code Snippet

CLS
DIM test(8)

FOR assign = 1 to 8
test(assign) = RND(15)
print "# "; test(assign)
NEXT assign



REM Find Smallest Number

FOR small_one = 1 to 8
if test(small_one) > last_big then last_big = test(small_one)
NEXT small_one

print "Largest Number from group: "; last_big
