Correctamundo, maybe that hasn't been clear. AI waypoints are loaded with tracks into the game and end users will never see them.

However the editor is available to whoever on this board that wants it

you know what i would do.. instead of creating few AI waypoints..
i would make only one route for all AI's this way they will fight for it then every car would get the same chance of winning

The point of having different routes is that the AI can switch routes mid game. Let's say there's the "normal" route, an aggressive route and a safe route, or whatever.

Well not much I guess, it all feels very simple to me, like I'm cheating or something.

Do you mean the entire AI with how the car is controlled, or do you mean the waypoint-system? I'll give you the complete editor and the code to use the waypoints, no probs. Any more then that, and you'll have the whole game essentially

Some arcadey controls, slidey cornering, can't really go wrong with these games. I really like that skid effect you got going on, that's great stuff.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.

I remember one from an arcade on a cruise ship from when I was quite young, so probably mid 80's. The machine had a steering wheel and the view was top-down like this, you had to buy or pick up upgrades on the way, lovely stuff

Lots to work on still on this, but it's already fun to play so hopefully after some tweaking and dressing up it will reach downloads in the two figure margin

Added video to first post.

Just an image of something I was playing with earlier. It sort of showcases how simple it is to convert a game to 3d with AppGameKit as this only took about 30 minutes (including a 5-year old bothering me).

The car model is courtesy of "farrer" of opengameart.org.

Other than this, I've been working mainly on graphics (none showing in this image) and tweaking the driving experience slightly. Working on the AI, of which I suppose I could add a video of, I think it's nearly ready to play with.

Great JOB! incredible work, cant wait to play it.

btw add some alpha for those sketch planes so it will look extremely better

Well no actually there won't be any 3d I kinda did it just because I wanted to see it in 3d. It literally took 30 minutes of coding to make the 3d representation.

3D is now officially gone. Unless this turns to a GTA 1 remake, but in real 3d

looks good man. i actually think you should consider in creating the same in 3D then releasing both versions as seperated just for the fun of it

I can switch it between 2d and 3d with a click of a button Maybe have that as an unlockable feature just for the halibut

The problem is I would have to make much more gfx, annoying

not true
use simple objects
you dont have to use anything fancy just make it look decent..
and maybe unlock it when a player finishes up everything he can now go back and play it as 3D... or maybe for the advertising of the app start its promotion with , for this week only , 3D unlocked. or something.. you'll find it..
