hey everyone. hope everyone's summer is going well. i have a few beginner questions here. i would love to know how to slow down the pace in which my character moves throughout the game. along side that is there any sort of way i can have text appear on screen as if my character is reading a note? finally, this room hum is absolutely obnoxious and i would love to just completely get rid of it and add custom music, can i do that? i am at a loss and i have been trying to find answers on how to do these thing within fps creator but i am seriously stuck. any feedback and advice is welcome.

thank you so much.

Howdy,

Playerspeed -> Right click Player Start (Green Arrow) and adjust the Speed parameter.

The other two.. Noise and Text. i don't know for sure.
Noise (Hum) i think you mean the background noise.. Change Music in setuplevel.ini. (Setuplevel.ini in both MYGAME directory (TESTGAME) and YOURGAME directory (BUILDGAME))

Text.. i can't help you with that

For text, download a program called TextEase. You type in the text and it turns it into code which can be put in a trigger zone or when close to an entity. I love it

For the background just find or make whatever ambient loop you want and replace (backup the original first) the background sound.

Its best to replace the background hum with an empty sound (wav file).

I was wondering... is there any way to actually permanently change the default test mode settings such as skybox and music?
