I have scoured the forum for help and tried everything that has been suggested but still unable to solve the following problem:

I am trying to create multiplayer game

1. I create a New Arena map and add a simple two player scenario with just a floor.

2. Save the game and then build it after changing the Map name in build setting to point to my saved fpm map.

3. The two pc's are connected through a uverse router. I turnoff windows firewalls and set the router to port forward 2303 to the host PC.

4. Start the host and then the client. The IP addresses show up fine on the game but when I try to connect get the dreaded "Waiting to connect".

I have upgraded to service pack 19 of FPSC.

What else can I try?

Thank you for your help.

Thanks ncmako. I upgraded to 1.20. Still same problem. The two PCS I am trying to connect are behind the same router in my house. I set up the Host PC for port forwarding. Do I need to setup the other one too?
Since they are behind the same router I cant do that.

I finally go this to work. Not sure if all these steps are necessary but did the job.

1. Upgraded to v 1.20.
2. I enabled UDP port forwarding for 2303 and 47264
3. I enabled TCP port forwarding for 47264
4. Earlier the two machines I was using was behind the same router and couldnt play against each other. Hosted one game from my home and the other from my neighbors PC (opened up his ports too)
and everything worked. No more "Waiting to Join" messages.

To test if you setup port forwarding correctly, download this program http://portforward.com/store/PFPortChecker.exe from Port Forward. It is the most accurate way to verify if you have setup your UDP port forwarding correctly.
