Has anyone created and successfully displayed ads using the new AdMob Interface? I have a sneaky feeling something has changed and an update will be required by Paul...

It works fine for all Ad Units which were transferred over from the legacy interface, but I cannot get any new Ad Units to work. It looks like they have changed the way you call the Ad Unit from within your app, i.e.

New Publisher ID: ca-app-pub-164746815*******/177*******
Legacy Publisher ID: a151cc07*******

I have tried several combinations of the new ID but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had any success?

When did it change? I created a new admob ad a couple of days ago and that works ok

It changed a while ago... Whats the URL for AdMob that you use? Is it admob.com or apps.admob.com (the latter is the new one)? Would you also mind sharing what you have in SetAdmobDetails().

I have it working just fine on Android and iOS, and even integrated iAds with it (Tier 1) for iOS. You do have to update the Admob framework manually so it supports the latest features. I wrote a full guide on the topic not too long ago:

The url is https://apps.admob.com/#home, and my SetAdMobDetails() are in the newer format.



I've made no updates to anything, I simply wrote it with beta 18 and compiled it to Apk using TGC's online tool.

I did have to force it to refresh the advert for it to display on my Android 2.3 device. Otherwise it took several minutes to appear.

Doh

I tried these scenarios;

SetAdMobDetails("45788xxxxxxxxxxx")
SetAdMobDetails("xxxxxxxxxx")
SetAdMobDetails("457883xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx")

But didn't think to try with the ca-app-pub bit also... Thanks so much Prof, that's all I needed to know...
