Hey guys:

Has anyone experienced such problem? I can't run the compiled game in Windows 7. Once I hit the run button (Tier 1), the runtime error window appears and nothing else happens.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate edition, AppGameKit V107, My computer has 3GB RAM, an AMD processor and ATI X1200 Graphics adapter.

Greetings

Which version of v107? The official release v1076 or something earlier?

Have you tried executing the 'built' executable directly? It would be a file with the same name as your project and '.exe' in your project directory.

What does the runtime error message say?

maybe trouble with driver(missing correct runtime for agk),
long ago i try the onboard gcard and my windows used a WDDM driver, that did not work for agk. you can take a look in device manager.

seems your last driver is 10.2
http://support.amd.com
they listed 2 options:
Catalyst Software Suite
WDM Integrated Driver

AMD invited me to download the latest Catalyst version two days ago. I did. The installer mucked about for a while, and eventually the computer did its first ever BSOD.

After a restart if couldn't see my second monitor, would not allow the correct screen resolution etc.

I had to do a System Restore to get any work done.

So when you find you have bugs in your program, smile and remember that even then big boys screw up sometimes!

@JimHawkins
seems your installation is incompleate and you have
different version of driver and control center.
i believe you missing the menĂ¼
1. AMD Radeon ...
2. AMD Radeon ...

the amd install manager can fix this also.
i had your effect today because i playing with driver changes 13.10 ,13.4,13.10
this long waiting time in installer can come from the windows system backup before. without a progressbar its very nasty.

Hey guys, thanks for your quick response. My comments:

I'm using the official v1076

Yes. I get the same result.

I also have the Catalyst driver. I got it directly from the Toshiba's support site. (my laptop is a Toshiba P205D model). Perhaps if I get the latest version...

Thanks again

Thanks guys for your suggestions.

@Markus. I did the driver update and now I can actually run the game in windows, but it looks crappy, like if it was a 256 colour depth configuration . I could take that crappy look as a working one but I can not do a drag-drop gesture, it won't work and no problem is reported, I think it is once again a driver problem cause on android everything works as expected.

I do have the 10.x version. So, is there an update somewhere? I did a google search but I was able to find the Catalyst driver only, no reference to AMD. Is it safe to install the AMD driver?

Thanks a lot again

did you run the desktop in 32 bit?
i know/remember one game that looked ugly because 16bit.
amd have also a driver archiv.
i don't know if your card run with a newer driver, just try
the best source is amd.
did you tryed also the wdm driver for 10.2?

I think Markus is on to something. If your display driver isn't set up for full 32 bit color, it won't ever show up AppGameKit apps properly (unless they are set for a smaller color resolution).

Hello guys:

Thank you for your quick replies. I think I have a graphics adapter issue. When I had Windows XP, I got an error saying that AppGameKit couldn't load a OpenGL Class (can't remember wich one). Then, I moved to Windows 7, and at first, I encoutered the problem I mentioned in this thread. Then, after updating the driver I found this bad rendering.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the graphics adapter-driver relationship.

My PC is a Toshiba Satellite P205D model... this is not the first time I have complicated issues with Toshiba's hardware-drivers

Anyways, thank you very much for your help
