Quote: "A 15-year-old boy who admitted robbing a bank with an imitation firearm acted as if he was in a "real-life video game", a court has heard. District Judge Ian Lomax said: "This is a very serious matter. "It's an armed robbery but not in the conventional sense most people would recognise. "It's a bizarre, surreal case of a young man almost acting like a real-life action video game."

Thats a pretty low form of envy, even for a 15 year old.

But yeah, of course he said it was like a real life videogame. Thats where he knows guns and bankrobbery from. If this where in the 80's or 90's he'd say it was like being in an action movie.

Well...it wasn't a real gun and he is 15. Its best to put him into psychiatric care and help him in his development.

Video games responsible for another crime!? We should ban these dangerous things before they become popular!

It was the judge who likened it to a video game:

Quote: "It is like a bizarre, almost surreal case of a young man acting like a real life action video game."

The boy admitted to the crime, the news have twisted it to sound like his motivation was video games.

I'd think we could expect better from the BBC. Whatever happened to responsible journalism?

I believe this new craze of newsstories about violent acts somehow related to games comes from the GTA-V hype.

I'm wondering how old he looks, being he told the cashier he had just gout out of prison after doing 5 years and he's only 15. I would have just Lol'ed at him, unless he is one of those abnormal 7 foot tall full facial hair 15 year olds xD

The kid is an immature idiot, plain and simple. Throw him on that Scared Straight tv show, then give him community service until he completes highschool.

Up until recently Wednesday was half-day (finish at Lunchtime, which is understandable considering the regular hours) but some regions recently voted to abolish that. Nice.

Is that how you guys pronounce that? Here in the land of the imperial system we'd say two thirty or three thirty.
