FPSC test levels don't seem to recognize different materials. However I can't help but notice that the FPSC editor does recognize different materials.

I'm using a model that has two parts, each with a different material. One is the main mesh, with the UV map applied as a material. The other part is a box with a transparent material, like glass.

Is there a special trick to make the test level recognize materials, just like the editor does?

Will test levels and built games in reloaded recognize materials?

Oops. I was going to make this post, but half way through typing it I noticed Tobias_Ripper made a post similar to it. I meant to make a reply instead. D:

Correct

This seems highly ineffective. Try unwrapping the glass part too and give it a transparent spot on the UVMap. You can use a shader effect to give it some specularity in this place. This should work.

Aer you certain the editor notices materials? I've never perceived anything like this.

Most unlikely.

I'm not completely certain. but I think it does. I've made a model and assigned 3 different materials to it. then i imported the .x file and a short .fpe file into FPSC. The editor shows the colors i chose for the materials but the test level shows only white blocks.

I've attached a screenshot, however it doesn't show very much at all.
