Was wondering if there is an update on the release date for AppGameKit V2.

That question has been asked and answered. I think the answer is end of December. But I can't find the thread where it was discussed.

Yeah I searched but I couldn't find it, may have been an idiot when I tried to search. Thank you for the heads up.

I know I saw it recently, but it seems to have just gone away.

Oh well. I think it's December.

The first beta, which is expected to include all of V2 base features and stretch goal 1 features, is scheduled for release sometime in early-mid December before the Christmas holidays.

ok so I will have to buy AppGameKit V1 in order to do any beta testing. I should have gone that one more level of pledging to get V1 and V2 oh well my mistake.

It's possible you could talk to Rick (send a note through the contact form) and ask about paying the difference to up your pledge level so you can get V1 and V2 when it comes out. They allow that for FPSC:R (i.e., if you pledge bronze you can later upgrade to gold) so I don't see why they wouldn't here. It really doesn't make sense to pay the full price for V1 when V2 is right around the corner.

They are still accepting 'pledges' via PayPal. Definitely try emailing Rick, it might work.

Well, not really. The first beta is supposed to come out mid-Decemberish. Who wants to bet that things don't quite work?

"Around the corner" is a bit like trying to look past the Andes!

Not much of a bet. The original release date was October so things already didn't quite work.

I try to be optimistic But it is true, I could see it being another full year before the final V2 1.0 is released, although I suspect many of the new features will be available long before that. After all, we've been in 'beta' state of 1.08 for more than a year now.

TGC is keeping any progress under wraps, with only 1-2 announcements per month with news. I've often wished Paul would have some form of running blog even just to post what is currently being worked on and what is complete and any struggles or successes along the way. This is what Lee has been doing since day one of FPSC:Reloaded and I enjoy it very much, Lee was doing so with Freedom Engine as well. Oh well, it'll get here when it gets here.

I sent TGC a note via Kickstater asking but have not heard back yet. Unless I should try and contact Rick in these forums?

Try submitting a message via:

http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=contact_orders

That is where Rick will generally respond as it pertains to an order.
