I've been looking all over the net for 2 - 3 days trying to find
any kind of source code that could help me figure out how I could
solve my maze game. I see all kinds of ways that it can be done
but I don't understand some of the more advanced stuff. I would be
happy with just first learning the basic wall follower where you
pick a wall to the right and stay with it until you reach the exit.
I see little to no code for stuff like this and the one's I did find I don't understand the code. Could someone please help me?
This was suppose to be fun! and now, I'm worn out trying to understand even the simplest of ways. It all sound easy with my eye's but codeing something that works doesn't seem that way at all. I would like it if someone could code up something with the bear minimum so I can learn and have fun and not pull my hair out!
I've done tons of stuff but that does not mean I can do it all. So, Alittle help please if someone could be that nice has alittle time. Tanks, and thanks.

One of the algorithms that can solve mazes is called 'A Star'. It works by opening and closing nodes. I'm sure I have seen a Darkbasic implementation on a web site somewhere, perhaps a Google search will find it or something similar to help you.

If you want a simple method, maybe you could have the AI try random lefts and rights (or whatever) until it gets the correct pattern.
