I'm putting my Android app on Samsungs store, they emailed me with two issues:

1. hold/lock doesn't paause game - how can I detect if this button is pressed in Tier 1?
2. Free apps must have ads and only Samsung Android SDK can be used, don't suppose this is possible in Tier1?

I should imagine the answer to question 1 would probably involve the Samsung SDK too?

Thanks

1. What is 'hold/lock' supposed to be?

2. Probably not.

I wondered that. I think it's just on samsung tablets/phones. When you press it , the unit goes into lock, but the apps carry on running. They want it so the app pauses when user locks phone/tablet. This is why I think the Samsung SDK is needed.
Maybe TGC could liase with samsung and try to get some of the commands and requirements into AGK2.
Google Play do a 70/30 split, but Samsungs store gives you 100% for the first 3 months, 90% for the next 3 months and 80% from there after. That's a good deal, which I'm sure the AppGameKit community would like a piece of.

You can try a quick program (run through the Player) that constantly reports the last raw key value (GetRawLastKey()) and then hit whatever button that is and see what shows up, if anything.

The standard Android back button returns 27 (same as PC/Mac escape key).
