Hello there !

Shorelins is proud to introduce its first game, Wuli Adventure, for PC. This is a retro 2D action-platformer in the style of the old Capcom/Disney SNES games. This game is currently in development and I would love to hear any thoughts and constructive opinions you might have. Below is some early gameplay footage.

Note that there is no music on the this video as of yet, but we do have an artist from Ocremix providing the soundtrack.

I am also posting here some info about our composer, Meteo Xavier. I have to pick few songs there that will be used as official song for the game:

I am extremely excited about this project and I hope you will be too. Please like the Facebook page, subscribe to the Youtube channel, share your thoughts or just show your support the way you want!
Thank you guys for stopping by this post!

There's something strange going on here

But somehow managed to appear at the top of the forums again. If people don't get want I saying, editing a post isn't like bumping, it won't shoot to the top of the thread if you edit something. That's a little odd me thinks.

Also you've been a member since the day you posted this so I can only think this is just promoting the game all over the place (like you have been doing) which you can't do here on the WIP boards if it's not a work in progress using a TGC product.

Moved to 2D forum, as there's no evidence that this was made with a TGC product.

Looks nice, kinda reminds me of how screenshots looked in magazines in the 80's - by that I don't mean it looks dated, just the saturation or something reminds me.

I am the one who knocks...

Hello Guys!

Sorry if I have posted this at the wrong place. And thanks to the Moderator Van B for taking the time to move that thread on the right place.
No, it is not made with a TGC product, but I definitely look for feed backs. From what I gathered, at the moment, there is 3 kinds of critics:

1/That saturation color is controverted. I like it because it reminds me "Zelda link of the past". But a majority of people suggests I increase the contrast and the saturation, so I will certainy do it.

2/ The arm animation of the main character when he attacks bother few people including my self(reminds hocus pocus released in 1994 for MS-DOS). I already took care of that, probably I should upload a animated Gif to share the new animation.

3/the video doesn't show a lot of features and/or range of weapon, so I am taking care of all that.

If some people wants some feedback on how to improve the look of their game, I will be happy to help!

All right my dear friends,
sorry for not having updated in a while. A lot of foundation work has been made like porting the game to "Action Script 3"(for easier multiporting/Facebook features implementation etc...), building a small PHP/html server with data base that host the playable demo . It is all done, but can't share the link to the demo yet. So right now what do we have here? This is the first version of the world 1 of Wuli adventure. Spent aprox 150 hours (11 days). It needs to be more polished and it may evolves. Next steps is to implement this in the game, and prepare/debug 3, 4 forest level so you can play/test it. You will be able to see your progress on the map every time you finish a course(like in a Mario game). There will be secret path in some levels that once are discovered give you access to some areas on the map.

If you want to test the game, just let me know, I will give you access to it. Make sure you have a D-pad ready (play with the key board is not very convenient...)
I am open to all questions and suggestions...

Thank you for your cheerful support my friends.

I like the graphics, and palette. Does look like an old Capcom game. My job used to be converting Capcom games to the Amiga so I can see the similarity.

Hi Barry,

Hey I just rechecked a list of Capcom games ported to Amiga. And I still watch some gameplay videos of all Ghouls n Ghost includinf theamiga version. The Amiga version is pretty interesting. Gameplay in old shcool game is usually more fun.

Well I hope you enjoyed your job between Capcom and Amiga. To me, it sounds fascinating!.. Talking about porting... I recently spent few weeks porting the game from AS2 to AS3!. Demo is already online I have to make sure all PC joystick including PSX controller works with it...then I will share a link!
