I don't know why do I always get black fog, instead of coloured one.

I use
fog on
fog color bR,bG,bB

and a matrix as a terrain.

but the fog always shows black with any bR,bG,bB values

any idea of what's happening?
HELP!

This should give a red fog, making the cube appear red:
