Hi again. I haven't been here in so long. I've been wanting so much to make this game for so many years, and it is my dream game to make. I hope to have help making my game, "Peoplez First Person Life Simulation".

What I need is a lot, I know. Yes, I know I may be asking too much, but it would mean a lot to me to have my first ever real game made.

Okay, what I do need for this to become real:
(Because I'm not very good at coding in anything, and not too good yet at making art of any kind)
- Code (okay maybe I could search the code base for snippets, but I might need help putting code together)
IN DETAIL (For example):
- Code to make a first person view from the player's head model
- Code to make a mini map of your created planet as it gets created (with sculpting of the 3d planet, and adding of parts to make your land, buildings, houses, water, atmosphere, etc.)
- Code to make a mini third person view that can let the user rotate around the planet and the player, as well as zoom in and out
- Code to make "click and create" type mouse for selecting 3d parts in 2d from images, dragging them out of there in 3d, placing the parts in 3d, then scaling and rotating the parts individually
- Code to make a main menu (Create World, Create Buildings, Create Peoplez, Save, Quit,) and a health bar, as well as functionality of those, and a paused blurred version of the screen at the time you press a designated pause button on your keyboard. I would like if that could be unpaused as well.

- DirectX format 3d models, and-or .3ds format as well as WaveFront .obj models of the same models I receive, so I could make edits as I see fit. For example, I may need:
- low-poly 3d human parts, limbs (separate where needed so you get to choose and design your head, body, arms, legs, clothing, hair, and eyes of your Peoplez, human and non-human (plant Peoplez, robotic Peoplez, realistic human Peoplez, anime Peoplez, animals and fantasy creatures, and mixtures of all types mentioned) since this would be in the creation stage of the Peoplez game, there would also be a color picker for choosing the colors of everything, so not too much texturing would be needed for this part)

- Low-poly furniture models (no textures needed yet, since the user will use a color picker)
- Low-poly car, bike, and small boat models (maybe some textures there would be okay, but it would be preferable to be able to edit the colors in the game)

I would hope to eventually give the game out for free for everyone, and I hope to include the user names of people who help me make this game real, in the credits when the ESC key is hit.

Sorry this was so long. I just have so many ideas rolling in my mind about this game. I will try to keep in touch here on the forum to keep this updated. I will also ask if I have any more questions or needs about content and code, and if I have questions about specific users' content or code that is given to me, I will ask here. Thanks for your time, thoughts, and for any help I get.
Thanks!

Sounds like your plate is full, but there's nothing on it yet. LoL

I, for one, will be glad to help when you actually get around to asking for any.

Sorry about that. I didn't realize what the requirements for this kind of project were according to what you gave me, MrValentine. I hope I can soon start a very, very basic game of the genre I wanted to make as the first post here states. I will try making a game demo on my own, but it will be a long time before you see results at all. I don't have a team right now, so it's just me. Again, sorry for asking before showing any progress. I don't have much to show right now. Where should I post screenshots of models I make, and what are the requirements for posting a screenshot here?
As a side note, I did read the "Team Request Guidelines". Thanks MrValentine.

I would start off small at first, jumping into a large project like this usally does not pan out, especilly where you arent that great at coding I would take some time to practice and get better. Good luck though, sounds like a great idea.

Don't do that. Don't start something you can't finish, you will waste a lot of time and everything you do learn and achieve wont be rewarding because it will just be a small part of a big messy dead project.

I have learned to split my projects into "learning" and "doing". Learning projects are where I pick a specific thing to learn and wrestle with it until I succeed or give up, these projects are always rough around the edges and rarely produce anything playable or interesting to non-coders. "Doing" projects are where I make something with what I've learned, if I have an idea for a feature but I don't know how to implement it I throw it out, or put it in the learning projects pile.

Well, call me weird... well, I am a bit weird perhaps, but I've started my grand project the first day I started coding. Never deviated from it and still going strong.

Sure... I had to restart a few times (Made many many versions I later dubbed 'prototype'), because of all the learning I had to do, but still working on it and achieving amazing things with it. It's all passion and dedication!

Sph!nx: I did a similar thing but since I scrapped that project I've realised it was holding me back.
