Well, to really test it out, you need to be in a better space than that room. The audio echoed quite a bit just from the walls. Other than that, it sounded pretty clean.

The video quality, however, is not-so-good. Really dark. You need much better lighting. It really looked pretty similar to a webcam just from the lack of proper lighting.

Hmmm... I used a preset in After Effects. I knew something made it look amaeteur I just didn't know what it was.

It's all about lighting. It's amazing how much light can affect a way a scene looks. Also; background objects, colors and set design have a HUGE impact on the way movies look and "feel".

You could have had a worse ISO setting, but in the case of the video you showed, upping it by a small bit probably wouldn't have been such a bad idea. You've also got to take into account the exposure of your lens. If you're using the kit lens, you're gonna have a REALLY hard time getting the aperture open wide enough in order to let in enough light for low-light scenes. You'd really do better doing tests outside with the kit lens.

Alright well thank you. I did some research and the lower the aperture setting the more light is allowed. It was the ISO because I did another test and I lower the ISO, shutter speed, and aperature. It looks a lot better with less noise.

Luckily I bought FD lenses with a converter that has a lower aperture.

You don't want to lower your shutter speed with video. If you're shooting at 30fps (or 29.97 in NTSC format), you want it to be at 1/60, or else you'll get ghosting. If you're shooting at 24fps (23.97 in NTSC), you want it to be as close to 1/48 as possible, which since you're using a a T2i, you'll have to set it to 1/50.

Good. and good about the FD lenses!

Y'know, you can learn quite a lot about video/film from people like Philip Bloom and Vincent LaForet - they're both photographers, but the art forms are pretty similar. Philip Bloom's work is amazing, you should check him out. Also, check out filmmakeriq.com, it's great.

I'd suggest using a green screen, but not actually spending the silly amounts on an official branded green screen, but just buy some green fabric and make a frame from some unused wood to attach it to. Some thing like this, the Meadow green colour.
