I know it's been beaten to death but I would like to start a new MP project without having to deal with the "waiting to join problem" when playing on LAN!Not interested in using dynamic entity's just want to make a good sniper map involving landscape!

...any advise would be appreciated TY!

What version of fpsc are you using? It was fix in later versions.
Also try searching...there are a lot of "waiting to join" fixes.
Here's one...http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=207849&b=21

Read thru S4real's posting. Install 1.20.17a
Then update the .exe with unofficial v1.20 beta19j.

There have been a lot of updates to 1.20. See if
"waiting to join" is fixed.

Alright.

The waiting to join happens if you fail to port forward, or connect.
My fix should perfectly work with v1.19. V1.19 is the best version for FPSC IP as Wasp Mod supports it.

My re-vamped fix:
Update to the newest unofficial v1.20 beta 19 , or any newer version. Use V1.19 for FPSC IP. (Use wasp mod)
Open ports 2303 AND SOMETIMES 3203.(TCP and UDP) Knxrb is working on an auto-port forwarder for the next version of FPSC IP so that is going to be amazing.
Allow your game to go through the firewall, disable any antiviruses which can block the game.
Host your game (Host Game) or make a lobby (FPSC IP)
Wait five to ten minutes and let them join.
^In FPSC IP, you should be able to connect yourself first. If someone connects BEFORE you , you can get the waiting to join for about 1 minute and it will work. In classic FPSC multiplayer - Host your game and wait. Ports and stuff may take some time.
