I am trying to find different car models to put into my game. I have found a few in a Direct X format. I have tried to load them and they show up put they are missing there color. They are just gray and when I try to color it the object stays gray. How would I fix this? Also I have tried to load 3ds models but DBPro crashes. I think the models were too much to handle. Can DBPro load 3ds models? Thanks

DBPro should load DirectX .x files without problems. You need to make sure that any textures specified in the X file are in the same folder as that X file.

.X is the preferential format for Dark Basic. 3ds is hit or miss as it's not 100% supported.

As Gandalf said you need to make sure the texture is in the same relative diretory as the model so that when the model information is loaded the texture can be found and mapped to the object. You also need to remember both these items are compiled with the program for when you distribute the game.

No they're not.

They're only included in the EXE if you add them to the project in the IDE, and compile to single exe format.

By default, no media is included in the exe file.

That was my bad grammar. I meant to say "Remember to compile them with your project"
