I was wondering how you can begin a game with post effects on without the use of a trigger zone in the case you want the whole game to have a certain effect from beginning to end?

Hi I love dark games
Sure, two ways to do this. I mainly use a trigger zone
at the players start marker. But read this post and
try what works for you.

The trigger will not work unless the player walks into it, meaning if I start in a trigger zone I have to exit it and then reenter it to activate the trigger. Raising the player above the trigger will not work because the player actually floats in the air if spawned there until the player is moved in any direction in which the player then falls. It seems that all solutions on that post weren't helpful to me. Thank you for the response though. Any more suggestions?

The triggers do work and you don't have to raise the player.
On the link I gave you read the very last line by BlackFox.
Just give it a slight delay of 1 or 2 sec's. I also use a
"black" hud that fades out along with this.

Also, you can replace your "post-bloom" with the effect you want
and rename it.(I take your using postprocess=1) But keep careful
track of what is where when doing this.
