This can already be done with fpsc he used bonds dynamic shaders with a little tweeking.

fantastic work. The performance is unbelievable, well above 60FPS the whole time in a huge cityscape with interiors and enemies active. The lightmapping literally does not add any memory to the build total. What more could an FPSC dev ask for?

I was always very excited about my lightmapper, but it never saw the light of day because I stopped working on Project Apex. Glad I was able to put it in Zeta so people could finally make use of it.

These are more commands and actions to make new features.

new under water effects (bubbles under water.)

new shader system.

Dark ai bug fixes to stop floating chars.

The main feature is the lightmapping and dual weapons.

This is really great work you did on this
Had just a little time to play with this, but looking good so far.
Mini-map and shaders work great! My main purpose for this was
the "dual weapon" feature. I literally only had to drop in my
"dual" weapon and test run.

Made is a quick vid showing "dual weapon". A colt45 and a
flashlight I had made a long time ago. Please note though
my "flashlight" hud is not the best. Needs a lot of work

You can only use one source mod at a time so you can't use this with rpgmod.

Nomad lighting mod is not a source mod so can be used with this mod when released.

Just so people are aware, Nomad Mod is now fully compatible with S4Mod Zeta and supports dual wielding.

I would just like to say s4real has done a really great job with Zeta and I highly recommend it. The mod provides much better performance, a better lightmapper and improvements to the AI system just to name a few.

You also get Vishnu Extra which is a must have for people that want to sell games. You can see it in action with a playable demo of Nomad Mod here which also uses S4Mod Zeta:

Well then, I would really like to see S4real's "Re-Form" integrated with this. At least the "real time" adjustable water and fog.
Also, maybe something along the lines of particles?
I use "Particle Creator" all the time and would like to see how
it looks in the editor instead of just a place holder before testing. Is that possible

fpsc already have resolution adjustable. just go in the setup change the aspectratio=0 to =1 and fpsc will be your screen resolution. the reason why it will not look as good as fpsc x10 is because fpscx10 was better then fpsc. if fpscx10 could get a real good bug fix and better weapon use you would have the best of both worlds. fpscx10 shaders is way better. i say this because I dont anyone think this mod can change fpsc into a new looking fpsc graphically. things like dual wielding is a bonus and will enhance game play.

simoly changing aspetc ratio from 0 to 1 dont change testgame resolution. and even changing width and height fields i setup.ini doent change nothing too since when testgame is launched settings restore to default (1204x768)..about shadrs I think fpsc can do great things even rahpically in right hands (not mine LOL)


btw sorry for my noobish but I really cant understand how to figure to works the following scripts

3d person.fpi
body2.fpi
body.fpi
minimap.fpi
mirror.fpi
redclouds.fpi
veichle.fpi
watercolors.fpi
skyboxmask.fpi

I tried to put them into several trigger zones but or nothing happen or editor crashes

I only managed to work bloom, blackandwithe and cartoon...(the postprocess in short words)

I really like to have some explanations about how to use mod's scripts and i think a guide with examplas and explanations would be appreciated

there are two aspectratio in the setup change them both one for the the test game and other for the build. then save a image of your level and you will see the resolution pic is larger then 1024x768.

I like this! Sending an email. Can anyone explain to me what exactly the Vishnu Extra is/does? I can't find any good info on it via a forum search. Is it the file download/system specs screen at the beginning of your demo game Nomad Soul? Thanks!

Edit - Got the mod this morning, now I know what Vishnu is. Thanks for including it, I'll definitely be using it!

I'm getting an error now when i try to test a level.(see attached picture)

I'm running Fpsc v 1.18 on windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

I dropped the files folder in and let it merge. Drop in the fpsc.exe and map editor exe. and replace the existing ones. then drop in the lightmapper exe.

Graphic card

Asus radeon amd, hd 6670 1 gb gddr5 full direct x 11 support

what did I do wrong?

Yes, the file has changed a bit. Open one of the scripts for shader effects (I'll use the bloom.fpi for example). In the script
you'll see the line"makeshader=fakehdr databank/effects/fakehdr.fx"
So you should have a "databank/effects" folder under "files".
Also noticed it's "makeshader & useshader" with this mod.
I have a feeling you were using an older postprocess script
with that error
