Yes, I had heard they bought out testgflight a few months back and looks like they finally made the transition.
I hope to test it out in a month or two. They say we can now have up to 1,000 beta users. I'm not sure if this is per app or ??
Used to be 100 test devices per developer per year which is crap! We used most of those up on our first game
Looking forward to trying this out and hearing others' experiences with it.

Getting a chance to check this out soon. Looks unimpressive and your beta app has to go through a review of some sort. Hopefully it doesn't take them a week to review because that makes the feature worthless.

It seems to me that Apple made Testflight more difficult to use.

So far, yeah... it's junk.
The new TestFlight app can only be installed on devices with iOS 8 or higher.
The initial review took 24+ hours and they rejected us the first time on a non-existent issue. I appealed and they said it was their error, but they made me submit again anyway. Subsequent build reviews don't seem to actually happen so it does become available immediately.
The new TestFlight app installs the app, but the progress bar never completes.
It doesn't actually tell you what build your testers are running or if they've even installed, so that's worthless.
All-in-all, the only advantages are that I don't have to make a new AdHoc certificate when new beta testers come along, I don't need to collect device IDs, and we can have up to 1,000 testers. Not sure if those benefits are quite worth the issues yet.
So.... 2 out of 5 stars.

If you're looking for an alternative to testflight, seeing as they're shutting down thew website on the 26th Feb. You should give crashlytics a try.

Testflight's actually been integrated with ITC so although the TF site is shutting down, TF still exists.

I'd love to hear more about Crashlytics. Their site is lacking much information on the mechanics of the beta testing product. Do you need to collect UDIDs and add them to a provisioning profile? How many beta testers allowed? Things like that. Too many sites don't tell you specifics like this until you sign up which is a pain!

It works pretty much the same way as the original Testflight app.

On the plus side, it also works for Android. I know google play has this functionality, but it can be incredibly slow to update sometimes. Post a new Beat, wait 24 hours...
