Hey guys!

First, a WARNING!!! This game and thread are not for the faint of heart! So, for those that aren't into horror and gore, please don't read further!!! You have been WARNED!!!

<

LEFT THIS SPACE OPEN ON PURPOSE, to make sure that the image below is low enough! Bwahahahhahaaaaa!!

For those interested, read on.

Since a few days, me and Roland (my very good friend and teammember from the Rimfrost Software team) have joined another team, called Narcoleptic Studios.

These guys have lots of talent, and are very dedicated!

They had some bad luck, cuz some of the previous members left the team, and both me and Roland had been searching for dedicated and skilled game developers, i knew some of the guys in the team, and we talked and talked, basically...one thing lead to another, and we joined them!

Anyways, they were developing an action/adventure psychological horrorgame, by the name of 'Phobia'.

The Plot:

Phobia is a first person horror game where you play as Detective Frank Carter, a mid 30's police officer, husband and caring dad.

The game is set in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. When a young girl goes missing near the Providence Sewer System, Carter is given the task to find her. But this is no routine search.

Carter must explore deep down the eerie tunnels of the chilling sewer network to uncover a mystery that may link to previous missing children. Having flashbacks and hallucinations throughout his ordeal, Providence Sewer System has a dark secret of its own.

Uncover the history and find out what lurks in the shadows as you try to piece together the case. You may start to question your own sanity.

Features:

Psychological horror with a story full of twist's and turns.

AAA soundtrack and sound effects to set the creepiest atmosphere.

High quality graphics, animations and lighting.

Future plans for Oculus Rift intergration.

The Team:

Lead Programmer - Roland Strålberg

3D Artist/Animator/Sound Design & Music/Lead Designer/Texture Artist - David James

3D Artist/Animator - Patrick Griffiths

3D Artist/Texture Artist - Chris Van Wijmeersch

Level Design/Mapper - Danny Chilvers

Level Design/Mapper - Boy Voesten

The game is currently on Steam Greenlight. You can find it HERE.

Soon, we'll put it on IndieDB aswell.

Anyhow, i started to make some 3D art for the game. The first model i made, a hospitalbed, was actually meant to be a 'test'-model, so that Dave could see what i'm capable of.

And, he LOVED it!

So, i continued making models and models, and below you see the result of what i currently have modelled/textured. Be warned though...the scene is really horrifying!!!

I was kinda amazed myself from my own artwork.

Also, i modified a toon shader, made it less toony, and enhanced it a lot! This is only one shader at work, and i get a HDR effect, better looking materials, lighting improvement, and the overall scene gets a nice horror-like feel.

Here's the image. Looks insane, imo.

Comments are appreciated!

Thank you!

Thanks, MrValentine! Yep, we have quite a big and talented team now!

Any reason for you detesting LE?

Personal reasons, relating to the main developer over at LW, not a pleasant individual... also he killed off 3DWS... shame wasted so much money on it...

Busted! That floor texture is a stock LE material!

Or am I getting it mixed up with stock Allegorithmic Surface textures?

Hahahhaa, actually...no...it's not an LE stock material.

But, it is a material that i created using Substance Designer, yeps! Awesome program, btw! I bought the Substance Designer Indie Pack a few months ago. Has Substance Designer, Substance Painter, and bitmap2material.

Everything in that scene is by my hand. This scene is more of a 'test' scene for me atm, to finetune my models and textures, so that everything fits the mood.

Already made some new props to go with this scene. Will often post some screenies of the progress.

That hospital bedroom looks like a student bedsit on a typical Saturday morning.

Nice work though.

Haha no, but I've used Substance Designer back when it was free and called something else (can't remember exactly what) and I'm quite jealous of you
