Hi all,

I want to make a game for the pc. The exe I can find in the project map. This is the windows player or the real program i wrote? I can only export apk and ios IPA.

But the icon of the exe is the nice agk2 icon.

Is there a way of changing this to my own ico?

Am I doing it right, or should I do something different (just using the basic code, no c++)?

The .exe you get when you build the game is just the windows player. The actual game code is a .byc file in the media folder. You still have to distribute this player .exe with the game, of course.

I don't think AppGameKit provides a way to change this icon, but you could do it fairly easily with the useful tool Resource Hacker.

Thank you,

I also have to copy the media folder with it, or is it in the exe?

Yeah, the EXE and the media folder is all you need. You may want to delete the file SourceCode.txt from the media folder though.

You might also want to throw an icon.ico in root, just for the alt+tab needs.

Hi Jo,

There is also another solution.

Our product Smart Packer Pro allows you to set the icon and version information of a packed executable.

Looks good.

Can I store also the images I made within the AGK-game for windows in the Smart Packer Pro?

The nices thing for (example) android, would be, that the images used in the game are scrambled and the app puts te pixels on the place (have to write that), so that users of the app can't use your images or edit them, if you know what i mean.

I am using Tier 1, the basic style, not c++. Can I create this whit only these basic codes or have it be done in c++?

Another question about the answer of BMacZero.

Is that allowed by the AppGameKit devellopers??

Yes you can pack all files related to your project (Tier 1 and/or Tier 2).

Just try the trial version to be sure your project is supported by Smart Packer Pro.

V-Packer for Games - Compress your game files into one executable
Flash Packer - Pack your Flash movies
