It's been so long since I've posted here. So what are some of your resolutions for this year? Mines are somewhat side goals that I've been meaning to get done since.

- Go to gym more often
- Buy that GH3 camera, lens, lights, and other things
- practice video shooting for a planned movie short in a year from now.
- Start that custom computer case I've been trying to make time to do.
- Get another job
- Try to get more better with Blender 3D
- Get back into programming again

- Get a 1200 combined lift (Bench/Squat/Deadlift)
- Drop 30 pounds
- Maintain a 3.5+ GPA
- Learn Rust/Python/PHP

Fairly generic, but those are pretty reasonable for me.

- Stop eating junk food constantly (finishing off what I already have in the cupboard doesn't count).
- Get outside and get some exercise with the ultimate goal of having a net loss in weight by 2016.
- Progressively reduce my laziness and increase productivity.
- FINISH A GAME to make some money.

I have a question for us all: do we really need a New Year in order to make resolutions? I personally live by a standard of making resolutions to prevent future issues when things go awry.

After all, who follows their

Nope. I think New Year's Resolutions are a dumb idea, but for me it's less of a New Year's thing and more of an End of Christmas thing. That is, the Christmas festivities have wound down and everything is rapidly returning to normal. This time I intend to do better than last time things were normal.

Is that a slightly obscure joke?

Ah, looks like I just forgot to finish typing my messages before I sent... I meant to say "After all, who follows their resolutions anyway?"

Well, to start, here's my list copied over from last year's thread, with everything I accomplished italicized.
Quote: "
- Become more active (go for walks in the park, go jogging, things like that)
- Take and complete online game design/programming courses (I'm already doing this, but there's more I want to take!)
- Study up on math (it's amazing how much you forget after not using it everyday for four years )
- Become a Unity guru
- Obtain Unity Pro somehow (through legal means, of course!)
- Go out and meet more people
- Learn and play more guitar

- Produce more videos, get better at editing and learn more about photography
- Halfway through 2014, ask some girl to a cup of coffee. Try to get myself back out there.
- ...
- Profit!"

Whatever I didn't accomplish is what my resolutions are
Nah, here are my new ones!

- Create and release a full game with AGK
- Make money from said game
- Buy an iPhone and develop iOS games with Swift and SpriteKit.
- Save up for the latest release of iMacs coming next year
- Get busy tryin'
- Start going to bed at more reasonable hours (like 11pm would be perfect)
- Become more of a morning person
- Try to be even more active (more walks, more jogging, possibly join a gym but I need to SAVE MONEY)

That's about it, probably will add more as time goes on...

What time do you currently go to bed? I use 12am on the dot as my bed time.

Usually anywhere between 12:30am-1:30am, because my shifts normally are in the afternoon to early evening category. However, I still want to try to get on a better sleep schedule because as it is I sleep pretty erratically and I'm pretty sure that's why I got those migraines a few weeks ago.

I actually have to be at work by 6am Thursday morning, that will be fun. I just love how they get me used to a certain schedule and then BAM!, suddenly I'm working in the early morning.

Shift work for you. A cold shower and cup of tea will serve you well that morning.

Darjeeling Tea is my main enjoyment tea, but for relaxing a Smokey Lapsang Souchong cannot be beaten for me!

For breakfast Assam tea is lovely! makes you feel like you are full...

Oolong tea is great too! any variety of it usually is fantastic! makes you feel energised and refreshed! the creation of Oolong tea will amaze you too... as does its trade!

Tea is a wondrous world in itself! <-- Tea

EDIT

I forgot to say, Try Darjeeling!

I don't drink coffee or tea. Just not seen any reason to start drinking either one yet, although both my parents drink lots of coffee.

I drink fruit tea sometimes...

Possibly, but when I say fruit tea... I put a teaspoon of honey in as well to sweeten it, so I may not enjoy a less-sweet tea

Dedicate more time to my own business ventures. This includes writing and publishing games! To do this, it looks like I will have to quit my full-time software development job. It is high time I started building my dreams rather than building someone else's!

@Dark Java Dude 64> That's the best *facepalm*! Lol.
