When browsing the forum boards I stumbled across this gem:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=63428&b=5

There is a downloadable dll you can use to catch your webcam and display it in DBP. (posted by Jukuma in 2005. Thank you!) I installed an old cam and gave it a try: I had the example files running in a minute. Well, five.

As I had used PLAY ANIMATION TO IMAGE to generate video animated textures for 3D objects, I wonder whether it is possible to have a live video stream onto an image?

Looking forward to your ideas

Looks interesting. I got it working with my laptop's webcam - but no idea how to save or display a captured image or video using that dll.

Hopefully someone can give us a complete working demo which does something more than just display what the webcam is recording. The example files seem to work - but I don't know what they are supposed to be doing.

Thanks for bringing that old thread to life as it looks like it could be useful.
