The "Lanterns" are just "weapon" models. One would then use
a script together with the "lantern" to cast a light.
I was wrong before, FPSC V1.20 has the built-in flashlight
command "flashlight=1" The "F" key toggels the light.
:State=0:FlashLightRange=250
:State=0:FlashLightRed=228
:State=0:FlashLightGreen=204
:State=0:FlashLightBlue=23,State=1
:State=1,KeyPressed=33 1:FlashLight=1,State=2,Sound=AudioBank\Switches\Click.wav
:State=2,KeyPressed=33 0:State=3
:State=3,KeyPressed=33 1:FlashLight=0,State=4,Sound=AudioBank\Switches\Click.wav
:State=4,KeyPressed=33 0:State=1
Also, only certain segments without shaders work with
this command. The WW2 segments don't have shaders and it works
great with it.
Also, have a look at Nomad Mod. He was able to get segment
shaders to work with this type of light.

In fact it works really well! Try some of his demos/maps and see
how they are setup and take it from there. He even has a "flashlight" included to get started.

best luck
My games never have bugs. They just develop random features..
Lots and lots of random features...
