Hello I've just finished a game of mine with 3 levels. Whenever I tested the levels they worked fine but when I put them all into the build it just freezes on the loading screen and says FPSC game has stopped working! So I don't get anything I've already tried I have the recommended settings for light mapping in the setup.ini, textures are reduced, shading was reduced, I ran it as an admin, set it to compatability mode with windows xp service pack 2 and 3 and compatability mode with windows 8. Nothing has worked! My levels aren't too big or take up to much memory either! I have an asus windows 8 laptop. Please help so I can publish my game! It's a really good game!

First which version are you using?

Ok, you've upgraded to V1.19. I don't remember it having
any "build" problems. I'll search a little. But, one thing you
said caught my attention. When you say it "freezes on the loading screen" are you saying it freezes while your trying to "build"
the game, or your trying to "play" a game already built.

Have a feeling its the latter. If so have you installed the two
missing/needed "dll" files? Also how about DirectX 9c?

Sorry, when I play the game and the loading screen comes up. I'm doing a bunch of tests on my game to try and figure it out. It wont let me install directX 9 because I already ave the latest version so it wont let me go back. Also I haven't installed the two "dll" files could I get a download link or a place where I can find them? Thank you.

Update: After hours of testing I figured it out! I moved the game over to a different drive and edited some of the build settings and finally got it to work! The game played great all the way through! Thank you also for helping me! I still need the menu to work however. I made a custom menu and everything with GUI-X9 however when I use it the menus are great but it takes away my huds for health, lives, and the eye damage hud. So when you get hit it's just a white screen. I can just put that on another thread however if you want. Thanks again!

Glad you go it sorted out.
The two much needed ".dll" files are now located in the
fps creator\tools folder. These two files should be in your
main fpsc folder. They are sometimes needed, not always.
It's a good idea to add them to your "build" when sharing
so they are there if needed.
As far as the GUI-X9 menu system, it's always been a bit buggy.
Someone just a few months ago got it working good, but I cant find the posting now?
