They look pretty good. The first picture looks familiar.

well
honestly you have to work on your drawing skills, nothing personal ok, but eyes should be in the middle of the face, not 1/4 from the top, it looks odd, change it and it's complete
i like to draw as well, but i ussually draw manga style, it is more beautiful in my opinion and also is it a bit easier to draw, u should try it, you'll know what i mean then

good luck

On both the bottom lip is too big.
Other than that, very nice.
Of the two different styles, I like the first better.

actually both pictures are fine..eyes should be 1/3 down the face with a chubby face and anywhere from 1/4 to 1/3 down for a thin face.

As far as the fat lip is concerned it is a show of age more particularly in the anglo- american person.

please don't beguile me on this I took living art classes for years and I still can't draw but I know about aspect and positional relationships.

Ok so its not a mouse.

Aspect, and etc??? Yeah I can play chess, I read a book! The eyes are deceiving, because you don't know how high the second guy's hair goes. Is he bald? Then the eyes are OK, but his head is extremely thin. Has he a clump of hair? Then the eyes are wrong. Well I'd go for the head being too thin, and the chin.

The first picture looks fine.

thanx for the comments guys.

In regards to the lips, errr...everyone has a different shaped and formed face. Some people have large lips, some dont. Admitedly though, the bottom guys lip is too well defined.

I reaaaaaally dislike manga sorry I love drawing cartoons, but unrealistically huge eyes and mouths just dont cut it for me
