Hey guys, I loaded a level from fpsc classic into db pro using this tutorial here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pULMJoDS-lc

Here is the code.

was wondering how to save the level out as a .x object with textures to load into a different game engine.(Game Guru) I've used the SAVE MESH and SAVE OBJECT commands but can't get it to work.

An example code would be great.

thanks

If you go to the main TGC page and look into "Create Games" section You will see Animer listed
Go in there and scroll down.
There is a free dbo to x converter called Mender.
Just for info,
I never used it therefore I don't know if it will work foy you.
Cheers

Hi there. FPSC use gamefx commands that convert object to static. So for a dbo to X converter, is going too difficult to guess where one limb start & where ends. We can make objects with several limbs and different textures and save all as Dbo and most converter will work correctly but when we make static object and save static object to D bo, mos converter will save to X but will make a mess wiht textures.
It doesn't mean that that is imposible...if we know how vertexdata works, we could manually split the object again into limbs and texture each limb. In case that we have lightmaps, we will loose them all.
Cheers.

That gives me alot to think about chafari. You are correct about the textures being screwed up. Fragmotion will load the dbo mesh and the textures but the UV seemes a bit screwed up.
