So I've been working on this game for about a week now, and I'm a newb-ish programmer so, don't judge too harshly (I can handle critique though.) It's rough right now, but it's coming along.

Sweet idea, why don't you post the general idea of your game so we know what direction you are headed / what to expect.

Also some monsters to shoot would be nice

Not needing media at the moment, I like making things for myself, and for the time being placeholders will work fine.

General idea: waves of enemies badger the player to annoyance, player realizes he has a gun and decides to kill the enemies (how barbaric!) when enemies are killed they drop money. In order to be nice, the player picks up the money with the intention of giving it to the enemy's parents. But then the player kills the enemy's parents so... He spends the money on upgrades.

Looking good, don't worry about things looking rough at the start as the projects gradually turn into the beast you want it to be in the end!
