Hi all,
I saw this game trailer today and was very impressed.

I figured I would share it here in case you guys hadn't seen it.

It is pretty much doing what I have always wanted to achieve in a game and it looks really nice.

I particularly like the seamless transition from orbit to terrain.
No word yet on release date but I am very excited about it.
Check it out.

Reminds me of wipeout. The transition is really amazing is that's in real-time!

Pretty cool eh!

it seems as though the new planets and systems are procedurally generated locally and then uploaded to the server. Apparently even the life forms are generated. I'm not sure how far they go with it but that's pretty cool too.

That game looks really cool, though what struck me about that trailer is how small everything looked. 10 seconds to go through an asteroid belt and land on a planet seems pretty short. But I guess you don't need to make everything super huge since it would just add travel time.

I agree with you on the asteroid field. It could be a fun element to snake your way through to safety on the other side of the asteroid belt. I guess they may tweak it later on. I don't know much about how the actual game will be.

It may have annoyed them in testing and so they shrunk the field range.

I am really looking forward to release.

It is the way I thought destiny would be when I bought the full version(after playing the demo that did not let you leave earth and alluded to space exploration)
