So I competed in the Ludum Dare 34th programming competition over the weekend and made a rather swanky entry in Java.
It did so well, I decided to port it to DBP so I can share it with more people.
Yes, that's right, I converted ObjectOrientedProgramming styles into Procedural styles for 24hrs and have a really sore head now.

Enjoy people

DBP version
Java version

And if anyone wants the source code for either project:
DBP source
Java source
Always nice to compare 2 completely different languages.

There are plans to port this to Android and develop a sequel.

Hooray for DarkBASIC Pro error reporting
Truely top notch xD

It loads an .ogg for me with a command that's only supposed to take .midis and .mp3s.

Then when someone else tries it it says it can't load an image? At a line that I can't go to because it doesn't take into account different source files.

I've reuploaded the DBP versions with .mp3s and a new .exe, this should fix it.

I usually don't play games like this but gave it a try anyway. Got to say that it's very addicting. Well done cowbox. Smooth gameplay, nice graphics. Got to share this with the wife. I used the DBO version.

Awesome, GLaD to hear the DBP version works for other people.

I had the girlfriend play it last night. Definitely my most everyone-rated game ever.

I noticed that little houses appear once in a while. What is causing that? Should i make more houses? Do you have a link that i could share with friends that don't have a tgc account?

The houses are just an aesthetic touch, but if you get the last upgrade (the spice transport one) and have sky-scrapers above height 5, they'll give you points from time to time. (This will be more important in the sequel and was purely just something extra/polishy for the compo version. )

Installed the android version from google play to my cheap little tablet and it works well. Just incase you wanted to know if it's working.
