Hi,

DB Pro seems to be rejecting Cinema 4D's files when exporting to 3DS.
Does anyone have the solution? I use C4D XL7, and it makes 3DS v. 4 files.

Strange, that's what I use. I have trouble with C4D's .X files, but not with it's 3DS ones. Send me an example model that doesn't work for you and I'll test it out.

I finally figured how to export a valid .X from Cinema 4D XL7 (the Generate Mesh option needs to be deactivated). However, it too wont export a valid .3DS

Yes, I really am THAT good...

And HOW do you export a valid X file?? I still have problems with textures - I can have only one external texture file (I tried with BMP and JPG files).

In Cinema 4D XL7, if you go into the Import/Export options, switch the Generate Mesh option off, and then export the file.

No textures are exported (I believe those have to be loaded and attached in your program)
