FPSC Classic Models and Media / Firma and Segment Editor Issues

I'm having multiple issues trying to create content for FSPSC in Segment Creator. Segment Creator exported a Bryce .x, but Importing a segment from a Bryce .x exported by Segment creator crashes FSPSC saying it can't find the mesh. It was suggested I try a different modeler. I Tried Blender, but on my 1st export from Segment Creator, it stopped exporting anything. There is no error message.

Firma exports don't import into FSPAC with texture other than the icon.

I'm hoping to find someone who is well versed in these programs to inform me what I'm doing wrong.

I just downloaded the "Segment Creator Kit" again and all seems to work fine. There are six(6) tutorial videos
with these files. It helps a lot to watch these and how to setup files, mesh's & texture paths.
As I said before, it's best to work with this program by itself like on your desktop. Then copy over files into
FPSC when your done. That way you wont by accident copy over original files with the same name.

Your path to your mesh then is incorrect most likely.

Segments folders have only the .fps file & segment thumbnail. Segment meshes go into meshbank folders.
Textures into the texturebank folder...ect The .fps file has all the needed paths to the segments parts.
Open one simple segment and study its file paths.

By chance, are you using jpeg or jpg image formats ? These do not work well anymore ( if not at all )
For some time now only .dds, tga &, png formats are best to use. I believe .png only for hud's ???
Bmp's are only for the thumbnail (64x64 or 128x128px size)

Ah, I hadn't created a Firma texture folder. That's sorted out. Thank you.

Regarding Segment Creator, I probably had the mesh in the wrong meshbank folder. My segment creator just stopped working, where as it was exporting something before. My zip only came with 3 .exe and 2 .ini. Where did you get yours? I'd like a fresh start with it and those videos you mentioned.

I think there is no way to find old stuff like Newsletter tutorials now.

For me Firma dont work at all. Its just crash after export.
I use standart Segment Editor with 3ds Max. It works fine if you produce correct mesh
without holes and with correct normals.

I make custom mesh segments - Firma can use only few standart ( as i know )
