@everyone Not to let your hopes down, I have made the overall map of the prison level on paper. Although I went through a few prototypes, I was not able to come up with a performance friendly design. So I abandoned the 'logic' of how a structure should be and have made it into a set of corridors with around 2 setpieces. I will post the paper drawing tomorrow. Please comment on the largeness of the levels (as I intend to use the physical based shaders). And I am really sorry that I could not post any sooner. Since I was at my grandpa's funeral I missed a lot of classes at college. And so I had to do a lot of work. Since the tides have turned down a bit, I will start giving the project a bit more time.

If I could get a list of assets that you need for each level I still have some time left to help you guys out. You can also just shoot me a message if there's any object in particular you need for a level (vehicles are probably fine but character I haven't the time for at the moment).

@ncmako How are you arranging the assets for the build? Are the assets in the same directory? If not so then we should make a common directory and store the assets particular to each levels and also a common folder for stuff that would be used globally (unless there are exceptions of course).

My question also. I asked seppgirty and he suggested for now to just place any extra assets
right in main directory. I am basically only using stock item, MP3, the Industrial pack (I think #16) and Dark City/ Nuke City items.

Also added the same voice pack to the over all audio folder. Make sure to keep a list of audio files you use in your level folder. That way we know what should be there when game is compiled.

I just realized, it's not one of your models. I got it from one of the "Media Links" provided
at Google Drive. It's the "Biker" character from Daniel wright 2311.

Yes, Pain dropped out. Remember, if nobody is comfortable doing a city level it can be changed to a seedy 5 story hotel wich is now a crackhouse/brothel.

Sounds like this is the way to go. So after the prison level will be the Hot-l Baltimore level. A crack house/whore house/Meth lab. And you know that none of the elevators work in a place like this.

I think we need to move this discussion to a new thread in the wip section. Name the thread "COMMUNITY GAME" in hopes to attract some others to help with the game. We are still in a thread named"JUST AN IDEA" What do you guys think?

Also, i changed the story line on the google docs to replace the city level with the hotel level.

Hi, I have no problem in doing the standard of the hotel.

I check what I have in sounds, what I do not have, I do.

Confirm if I get to do the level of the hotel's 5-story brothel.
If someone else is already doing it. I just passed the sounds of the prison.

yes, make it look run down. if you look in the levels folder on google docs, you will see that i give you a brief description of the level. also you will see a folder named easter egg. hide that in the level.

I'm in and I'm going to do the prison level, first of all I have a few questions.

Is the project uses entity shaders or fullscreen ones ?
If we don't use entity-based shaders, still can we use illuminationent.fx for our lightobjects to glow in the dark ?
If it uses post-process, then can we customize our own file then send it to you ?
Can we use third party media ? (I was thinking about using the jail-themed pack that Zwarte Piet has released several years ago.)

Work in progress for an AKMS. I'd never got around to UV mapping and texturing this but I figured it could be well used in this game.

It's rigged to the same hands as the stock weapons (has a different texture on it at the moment).
Once I figure out how to fix my FPSC (the shaders at the moment are a complete disaster, and I haven't used this since 2013) I'll get some normal maps on it. I might need to re animate the left hand as well so it actually holds onto the fore-grip.

In your black ice mod folder look for a file called "MASTEREFFECT.h" open with notepad. look for sincity effect. set it to 1 then save. When you test your game press F12 to activate it.
Do you need help rigging your model to a fpsc skeleton?

Does anyone have pictures of their levels? I have the feeling that my level is going to weigh a lot to be 5 levels, unless they are the 5 levels spread between level loads.

Unfortunately, I do not know how to animate. This is something I have always wanted to learn with 3DSMAX since I own an older version. I got lucky and was able to purchase V 9 from a school for really cheap.

That's going to be a problem I have some models that are only for non-commercial use, to which you can add, for example syringes. I can do it, but I do not know how to import and export animations.

Import animations to FPSC with fragmotion. If You want to animate from the basics use Milkshape. Its very easy to rig and animate in milkshape...

Are they character models? Do you want them rigged to the stock fpsc skeleton? Post 1 of the models in your hotel levels folder and i will take a look.
