Hey,

I'm writing a GUI system and I'm stuck on the name of a gadget.
It's the little rotating arrow that you can use to show/hide multiple gadgets in one go.
Like this screenshot:

That's not from my GUI - that's a screenshot from Unity. Mine is much prettier

I've tentatively called it a Rhumba gadget because it cleans up for you But i'd prefer to give it it's real name.
Anyone know what it is?

Thanks

Not sure it has an actual name. Treelist expander is as good as any

That's the one. Thanks BatVink

I still think I prefer Roomba though and yes I spelt it incorrectly earlier

According to the MS UX guide, these are called "Rotating Triangles"! I think I prefer Ortu's.

The triangles are used in a number of hide/reveal lists, batvink is right, the screeny above is using them in an accordion, Outlook and file Explorer and the like use them on treelists, but I dont think any of these list types name the actual triangle widget.

I often use 'expander' or 'expando' when naming them in html/css
