Hi,

Very happy with the progress we are making.
Our custom button GUI core is now fully operational and accepts keyboard, mouse, or touch input.

We are seeing slow performance of HTML5 build on Linux Mozilla Firefox ? (about 4 Frames Per Second)
Can someone look at the following current live HTML5 demo:
http://16bitsoft.com/files/PA3/HTML5/PixelArtist3.html
and current full project with source code and all resources:
http://16bitsoft.com/files/PA3/Alpha/PixelArtist3.zip
and let us know if we are doing something terribly wrong to cause poor HTML5 performance?

Game runs full speed on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Google Android O.S. smartphone thankfully.
Thanks!

Updated the above URL link to play & URL link to download.
Performance is an issue, so we hope someone can take a look soon and provide optimization techniques to improve speed.
(2GHz thin client w/Linux HTML5 = 4 FPS / Samsung S7 Edge = 30 FPS / Cheap no name very old Android tablet = 10 FPS)
Thanks!

Ugg, the HTML5/WebGL version of our game does not run well, even on a fairly decent desktop:
- Genuine Windows 10 Pro 64Bit
- 2.6GHz AMD Phenom II X6 6-core 64Bit
- 12GB DDR3 RAM
- AMD Radeon HD 7800 2GB GDDR5
Getting 15 Frames Per Second out of maximum 30 FPS?

Hope we can fix these performance issues with HTML5/WebGL...
Thanks!

Hi,

Ok, so we learned that excessive TTF drawing creates very poor performance.
We disabled the outlining of TTF text when not necessary and performance is once again good.
We updated the two URL links at the top of this forum post.
Moving forward...Thanks!
