In My game I have a control-room and I want it to start blink red on a small spot. The question, is it possible to make the decal visible when I want? I also want an alarm sound at the same time. Is the only way to make the decal transparant?
If I press the action button I want following things to happen: a video will be played, decal shows up on the bigscreen(blinking), alarm sounds, a door unlocks... In that order......

You can use the "alttexture" command for that in a script. Two textures, one with red spot
and the other without. Take a look at the "switch2.fpi" script. It uses those commands.

Yes, I use it all the time. For the "Start AI" script ( not the Main AI )
use something like..

This will "activate" the decal to run when triggered. You can then destroy it also when needed?

Use "loopsound=" in your Main decal script.
As for the "video" do you mean a full screen ( like a cut scene ) or a video overlay (like on a computer screen or tv ?)
My games never have bugs. They just develop random features..
Lots and lots of random features...
