Kid Magi is a 2D platformer heavily based on Little Samson, a NES game released late in the console's life (1992). The gimmick of the game is that you can switch between different characters who have different abilities. In my game, I've borrowed the character sprites and enemy sprites. There's the wizard who can climb on walls and duck, the dragon who can fly for a brief period of time, the golem who can walk on spikes, and the mouse who can climb upside down and fit in smaller spaces.

There are five levels that I made using Tile Studio and based off of the first five levels in Little Samson. All of the code is my own done in DBpro and took me 10 months. Also, all the sounds and music are ripped from Little Samson. Other than that all attack sprites, item sprites, and title images were made by me.

Please let me know what you think. This is not totally finished and there are a couple bugs that I know of. Eventually I would like to add a final boss, but I'm happy with where the game is. Check out some older games I helped make here: http://www.biofoxgames.com/ Some people might remember Revenge or Immortal Guardian.

You can download the game here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/thlf29okg930te6/Kid_Magi_V0_9_0_5.rar

NOTE: Requires XBOX or PS3/PS4 controller. Keyboard controls are not built in.

Nice job. Looking good. Grabbing / climbing the walls is a nice touch.

So many games to code.....so little time.
