Has anyone managed to do this? I'd love to be able to play a youtube video direct in my app without having to exit the app to open youtube. I'm playing about with php scripts to try and download the video to the mobile device then play it but I'm struggling to convert the youtube video to an mp4 link to download the video.

If someone has managed this, it would be great if you can share! Or confirm that my time is ill spent and it's not actually possible!

its not easy to get videos from youtube because they not want this.
i know a online converter (not work for music videos)

maybe you can use indirekt for own use .
then you have a real media file (.mp4 or something) which you can play with the device os functions from agk, and without flashplayer.

Youtube is strict with their API so you *may* not be able to get it but better just use online converters or apps like Youtube Downloader which is available on Tutuapp store.
