Hi, all!

I am looking to use an additive shader on the particles in a 2D particle emitter. Is this possible?

I found this as an option in the PAX particle editor, and I see the shader file included there, but I'm not seeing any way to set this shader on a particle emitter in code. Maybe this is only available with 3D particles?

Apologies if this info is available elsewhere.

Thanks!

Unfortunately using SetParticlesTransparency to set additive mode appears to stop honoring any transparency in the image. My particles now all have solid white square backgrounds.

I just got a hint from another thread by baxslash that using this additive option requires the particle image to have a black background. I’ll be trying that later tonight!

Black background did the trick!

Now to figure out how to start particles at a random rotation ...
