Hey all, I was just wondering what prorams I need to do 2-d animation. I don't even know if I need any special programs as I'm new to animating my sprites. If this isn't enough info just say.Thanks.

Nearly any art package can draw sprites. Better to get a good art package though.

Corel Draw 8 upwards
Paint shop Pro 6 upwards
Photoshop 6 upwards
Real Draw pro 3

Thanks. Will all these packages let me set out sprite animation in seperate frames and then put them together as an .AVI file.

Well you can do that with some of those programs. I'm not sure about the last one.
