Newcomers AppGameKit Corner / Question: wich are the best physic values for a platform sprite

I try now since hours with several values(Force, Impulse, Friction, Mass and so on)
I habe a simple playersprite with a circle-physic-shape and a tilemap(most of them boxed shapes)
But i don´t find the best values.
Most of it the sprite is to light, fly around, to fast and so on....

Have anybody try this anytime and can give any tips to get the best values for spritemoving like an old retro platformer?

If you want to code a retro platformer, I wouldn't use physics for the player movement, unless it's part of the gameplay.
Use simple sprite collision instead.

After some nights with testing many many value constallations i think too.
For slopes and such things i set a polygonshape for the tiles wich needed.
And than collsions as you say.

That´s the best way i think.
