How on earth do you use it? What exactly does it do? I've never used one before, and I can't find any instructions anywhere, either on the TGC site or on this forum. Isn't there a guide anywhere? I'd be grateful for any help...

Freely available extract from Tutorial Guide contains short instructions on this topic (starting on page 185).

If you are working on a project of any size, do yourself a favor and take the time to set up a good log system for writing output to file and console.

Personally I find a good log file, with controllable volume and channel output is vastly more useful for figuring out what is happening than the debugger.

I tried pressing the Debug Button and it didn't do anything. Perhaps the Screen needs to be 'focused' (by a microsoft procedure) ?
