A quick question,

What is the best way to do a FADE on the whole screen?
to use a black Sprite (or other color) that occupies the entire screen and adjust the Alpha?

Or paint a color box directly with DrawBox?

It must over paint all the elements of the game: 3D, 2D (texts and sprites)

If I was doing that I would create a radial gradient circle, set it to a full screen sprite, and then use a shader to create an "alpha mask" to fade the sprite based off alpha.

A big black sprite is as good a way as any

I also found with a large sprite dithered towards the edges you can create a fog like effect

good luck with your projects
