I can't reproduce it as it happens at random. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Basically sometimes when coding after I declare some globals and assign values the autocomplete shows the equals sign.

That's not so much a bug with the IDE but a bug with your coding.
Look at lines 61 and 62 to see what you've done differently.
