FROM THE SAUSAGE HEAD

What is fixed:
Now you can not stand on the sausage head to score an infinite number of points. (Ha ha ha)
The bonus circle now has the correct size after losing a new game.

What is added:
Added items on the table in the location.

What is changed:
Bonuses now disappear with the passage of time.
Red sausage has become even faster 2.25 times.
Jetpack is now spending twice as fast.
The health of the mini-boss (hell-sausage) now increases with every 1000 points and the blow of the mini-boss is now getting stronger and stronger.
When you drop the mini-boss off the table, you can now continue the game. (It was a mistake)
Several textures have been changed.

That's all for now. Super boss will appear in the next update.

It needs another aspect other than just sitting their shooting the same things over and over. Maybe even an asteroids element, like certain hot dogs when killed just break down into 3 mini cocktail wieners instead of dying. You could have special items, like a bag of hot dog buns. Throw the bag of buns and the buns burst open and wrap around the closest 4 dogs and restrains them for a few seconds. Can't wrap a bun around all the dogs cause everyone knows there's never an even number of buns to hotdogs.

Great, funny idea for a game.
Reminds me a bit of burger-time, in an era when original ideas let to awesome games, such as pacman or sausage dweller.


Above ideas seem rather good, so can't wait to see them implemented.
You could also spray them with mustard to make them go weak, or accidentally with hot ketchup which makes them more fired up.
Not to mention a chase mode where you can hunt them down after you drank a power beverage and then drive them into a flame grill or barbecue where they die a horrible, sizzling, screaming, black death. lol
Keep it up.

Phaelax, Yes buns added and sometimes mini sausage baby pops out of dead sausages.
New bonus available

Today I am releasing another minor update.
Now one more bonus is available - a protective block.
This bonus does not fall out of sausages, it is given at the start of the location in the amount of 10 pieces. This block is activated (by default, the "Q" key, you can change in the settings) and is valid for 30 seconds. For each unspent defensive unit at the end of the game, you are awarded 1000 points.
Even now, to kill the boss you are given 100 seconds.

about the disappearance of the sound of shooting, there have not been such errors for anyone as far as I know. May I ask you to describe in more detail how the firing sound will turn off?
When you click on the icon or player name in the leaderboard, your default browser should open with a player profile page. My browser always opens, but sometimes with a blank steam page. Maybe I will disable the ability to view the player's profile until I figure out what the problem is.

feedback from the trailer so far: will it be all on the same place? Are there levels? I guess, you need a rocket launcher and a flame thrower, ... and! a chainsaw Also in a shooter, the splatter effects have to be massive. Maybe a skillet. And or ketchup into the eyes. These (kitchen) trowel ...


after play feedback:

Sometimes the feedback is missing where the enemy came from, mostly I turned arround and saw one. If I shot a sausage, it would be nice, to see the impact, maybe the sausage would blink or another indication, that I hit it.
Also I fall of the table, but the scene is so visualy appealing that I wanted to explore it. Also my question is, where are the sausages from? I guess, it is not a story driven game, but they are not from heaven.
Would be funny, but I guess, not easy to animate, if they climp up the table and you have to defeat them from the table and you are the protector and guard of something on the table.

And if you fall off the table, there is a ocean of sausages that will make you one of them. Maybe you have to rescue "I am Bread"

Thank you for pointing out the key.
Your ideas are good, I really don't have a complete story about where sausages come from (no plot). The appearance of sausages on the table occurs only in this form (for now). I also thought about creating some kind of radar or pointer that will show where the sausage attack comes from (before the blow of the sausages) if it is not on the screen. If you have an idea on this subject I will be glad to hear.
At the moment I am creating a turret, and I can’t think of a relevant type of turret that will look right on the table, maybe you’ll have an idea here and it will help me. My idea is that the turret will be one, it will be given to the player at the beginning. The turret can be moved and installed anywhere on the table. Shoot it will decrease the number of points earned (one or three shots of the turret = -1 of the points earned)
I think I can easily and fairly quickly make a distortion of the face in the model when a bullet hits a sausage. I will put this on my todo list.
Now I will also do the alteration of the scoring code and the code linking the frequency of loss of certain bonuses depending on the zone where the player is located on the table. Some sausages are empty when destroyed, and I think it would be a good idea to fill these empty sausages with bonuses of the type of coin with the probability of falling out depending on the zone:
zone 0 is the maximum probability of a coin falling out.
zone -5 minimum probability of a coin falling out.

Sup,

After playing the game, here's some feedback ( more will come ):


When the game is over, you can't skip the bonus item point count. Players usually hate to wait
In a 3D FPS, a setting for mouse sensitivity is a must
There should be a 3D model, particle, beam or anything that represents the bullet/projectile
When you hit a sausage, there's no hit feedback
The cookie texture is really cool
No menu click sounds
Maybe there should be a sound feedback when sausages are VERY close. Not sure about that, though. Might be worth a try...
There are several spelling mistakes, the worst is probably the missing 't' in 'sofware' on the ketchup bottle
Achievements: killing 50k or even 100k sausages is a bit over the top. Maybe you should decrease the numbers a bit
Achievements: There are only achievements for killing stuff. How about achievements for using the jetpack x times ( Ironman? ), falling off the table ( Johnny Head-In-The-Air? ), using the cookie block x times ( Cookie Monster? ) etc...

PSY, I agree with many things, and have even made an animation of a blinking sausage when I hit it, and sped up the animation a bit while hitting it.
I myself got tired of waiting for the scoring during the test, I will definitely fix it for the next update.
The sounds in the menu I also put in my TODO sheet.
I have already tried the sound approach of sausages; in the end, it begins to annoy even more than waiting for scoring, at least I have not yet found a suitable sound for this.
Regarding the achievements of 50 and 100 thousand, it does not seem to me to be too many, for one complete location you kill more than 400 sausages, I already have more than 10 thousand sausages destroyed.
Other achievements will be added, I am now collecting the best ideas for this.
I have already made changes to the scoring and change the value of the zones on the table. Depending on the zone, more coins will fall out of the sausages, which at the end of the game will add 50 points per coin and not 10 points as at the given moment.

Yes, but you're the developer. Figuring an average kill count of 500 sausages per 30 minutes, it would take 100hrs of killing sausages to get this achievement. That's a pretty big number for this type of game.
But yeah, it's doable...

Im not very good but here's some feedback

The game is a great game and I love the comical aspect
I also love the fact the sausages freeze when you have
shot them giving you a chance to move.

The key movement seems well layed out but I never got
to try the specials but did enjoy collecting the bonuses. Its
been a long time since ive played games like this so my skills
were lacking. I did find that moving to far to collect the
bonuses represented certain danger.

When I first tried it I wondered why shooting the ketchup
bottles etc didn't do anything but that's not necessary

Over all a great game and will try again later. This should be

The change of animation when you hit a sausage (sausages now blink when struck and the animation is accelerated at this moment).
Radar nearest sausage back / front (located on the crosshair).
Skip scoring ("skip counter" or using the escape button).
Exit pause with escape button.

Changes in the rules of the game.
1. Coin.

Now the bonus coin during the final calculation of the received bonuses adds not 10 score points as before, but 50 score points. This bonus is now the most important in the game.



2. Zones.

Under your feet on the tabletop, you see numbered zones from 0 to 5, the most advantageous of the zones is 0 (that half of the table on which zombie sausages spawn). Depending on the zone number, every second you receive a certain number of score points. This is not profitable, since each 1000 score points during the game is the appearance of a boss and then a new wave of zombie sausages.
In zone 0, you will receive 0 score points every second.
In zone 5, you will receive 5 score points every second.
AND
In zone 0 you will receive a maximum of bonuses.
In zone 5, you get the least bonus.
Remember, the more bonuses , the greater the final score of your progress.

Other changes.
      Mini radar to indicate the closest enemy. Located on the crosshairs.
Indication.
Front left.
Front right.
Behind left.
Behind right.

Indication of the intention of an enemy attack (a red star appears on the crosshair from the side from which the nearest enemy is located).

      Now you can adjust the mouse sensitivity in the 'OPTIONS' menu. Also during the game, causing a pause with the 'Esc' button, you will be able to change the sensitivity of the mouse. From the pause, you can now exit with the 'Esc' button on the keyboard.

      Skipping scoring. Now you can not waste time waiting for the final scoring, press the 'Esc' button on the keyboard or the 'skip counter' button on the screen and you will receive the final score instantly.
      
      More feedback when a bullet hits a sausage (Animation of the face is added - now the sausage is blinking or surprisingly widening the eyes).

Not sure if there is a way to fix this, but on dual monitors the mouse is constantly leaving the screen. This freezes the screen and what the character was doing he continues to do it. Usually, it happens when I am running around, so I run right off the table. I didn't have that problem before(maybe I have just gotten worse - I was doing terribly today lol).

OK, the mouse problem seems fixed.

The new scoring seems worse, though. I am scoring way higher for doing much less. I got 16K score for falling off immediately... IMO, you're not giving high enough score for surviving.

Before I made it through 3-4 bosses. I just made it past the 1st boss collecting the bonuses and not using them I just placed 13th, even though I fell off the map like a dunce. My previous best was 16th(?) and I am pretty sure I killed 3-4 bosses. That doesn't seem right, imo.

IMO, there is a too large an increase in difficulty versus score. Its more advantageous to die early and never use the bonuses.

A few quick thoughts on the game thus far:

The player's weapon doesn't feel very powerful. This is partly because of how many hits the sausages can take, but I think something like a muzzle flash effect for the macaroni, or a more pronounced impact effect for its shots, could go a long way towards making the weapon more satisfying to fire.

There's a good variety of sausages already in the game, but they all employ the same attack strategy of marching straight towards the player (and, in many cases, right into the player's shots). What about some sausages that zigzag, or throw eggs at the player from a distance, or maybe even winged sausages that swoop down at or drop stuff on the player?

I had to look in the game's options for some of the controls. It might be a good idea to show the basic movement/firing controls on-screen at the start of each game, and display the keys for each power-up next to their icons in the HUD.

What's in the game so far is pretty good. Keep developing and expanding on what you've got.
