AppGameKit Classic Chat / AGK2 using DBO files?

Hi all,

I'm trying to convert some of my old Dark Basic Pro programs to AGK. I'm having a horrible time converting my DBO models, created in 3D World Studio, to something AppGameKit doesn't choke on. For the life of me, I cannot get textures onto the models, they just display as grey. I suspect part of the problem is that the textures are exported as individual files, rather than a map. I've tried several online converters, and I'm no expert in Blender (blimey, that program is tough!) but no joy.

1. Wouldn't it be great if AppGameKit could load DBO files?

2. Could anyone point me in the right direction with this? 3DW Studio exports .x files with separate images for textures, and AppGameKit won't load them with LoadObject().

I did a converter ages ago to convert DBO to AppGameKit loadable X files and/or AppGameKit meshmemblocksand put it on the forums here. didn't seem to be much interest so I use it for my own use now,

I had a similar problem with models from DBPro
I had to use loadObjectwithChildren and set the texture for each childobject even tho it was the same texture
but that was with the .3DS models

Hi there.
I have use BotR converter Dbo to Agk....not only useful for loading Dbo but aswell to use Darklights Dbo ready with its lightmaps.
