i need to send an email with a verification code so the player can enter the code at first login how can i do this?

You will want to create the email/authentication portion as a PHP web script on a server. Then can use the available HTTP commands in AppGameKit to pass the login/email data (POST) and from the PHP script can read that in and send off the email using default sendmail and Web scripts.
